I found this to be one of the most perfectly composed, thoughtfully directed, elegantly scored, emotionally moving and simply beautiful adaptations of Billy Elliot EVER!!!

Over a year ago a tiny little shell named Marcel came out of his… well, he introduced himself to the public. An instant viral sensation with his sweet understated voice, innocent questions and adorable stories.

You may like having a good lunch in a quiet place like a park… But what if your lunch doesn’t?
In the street everyone can hear you scream, but honestly who cares?
I really like the way this turns from a fun cutesy animation to a Troma style blood bath in just 2 minutes.
Also, make sure you stick around through the credits to see some great homages to such movie marvels as Aliens and Braindead.
Recently Chipotle Mexican Grill commissioned Johnny Kelly to create a short film to illustrate their belief in sustainable farming and naturally raised produce. Their back to the land attitude and clear dedication to food and quality spawned a beautifully crafted short with an original and perfectly placed soundtrack.
Back To The Start:
Chipotle also commissioned Willie Nelson to cover the Coldplay classic, ‘The Scientist‘. And all this without the aid of an ad agency. *gulp*
Compelling stuff. These few photos should help exemplify the talent that goes on behind the scenes… Whilst gradually convincing you of your inferior and comparatively craftless existence.
You can see the entire inspiring set of photos on Johnny Kelly flickr page.
And one last thing…
You must check out the Chipotle site. It’s beautifully designed and very well put together with some lovely interactive touches.
I hardly ever digress to the levels of text speak, but OMG!
This absolutely frigging amazing from the moment it starts to the second the credits start rolling. If you love Portal you may wet yourself, if you like good ideas, excellent production and good film, you are in for an absolute treat.
Portal: No Escape
Beautifully directed by Dan Trachtenberg
Wonderfully produced by Cathleen Alexander, Stephen Hens and Ashley Adams
Amazing score provided by Mike Zarin
My dear friend and budding animator just created this beautifully insightful exploration into the complexity of life and its worth.
Or he just made a funny cartoon, either way… I like:
In The Fall by Steve Cutts
You can view his whole profile here and experience his debut master piece Shoreditch Of the Dead. A dystopian view of our old workplace and colleagues… with zombies!
