This is the best thing I have ever seen!!!! (OK, that might be a bit much but it is refreshingly brilliant.)

Innovative and interactive without the need for an Arduino… Genius!

MAN-EATER
[vimeo http://vimeo.com/44866791]

Here’s what the creator – @Disselkoen – has to say about it:

For four years, each day I took the same tram to art academy. Why would you then look out the window with curiosity when there is no reason to expect anything new. I decided to change the daily journey for my fellow passengers and myself. I wouldn’t move the tramway track, but maybe I could add something. Make something so that what already exists would look very different now.

Man-eater is part of my graduation project “Remake Reality” for the Royal Academy of Art, The Netherlands.

Around the world in 80 seconds

To be honest, when I heard about these videos I didn’t think it would interest me. An apparently inspirational figure repeating a  tired formula whilst highlighting many of the worlds wonders I may never see. Great.

ALAS! Yet again, much like the first time I watched Where The Hell is Matt, I was enraptured, inspired and left with an irremovable smile upon face.

3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage… all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food ….into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films…..

When the Hell did Matt get back?

He’s done it again.

The worlds most loved traveller (well, mine anyway.  Who else you got… Branson?), has done it again.  But this time, he’s learnt how to dance!

Matt Harding has recently returned from South Africa, where not only has he once again compiled a compelling video diary of his travels, he’s also managed to pick up some dance moves along the way.

As a promotion for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa the ‘Diski Dance’ has been created; and (ironically) they’ve found Matt to promote it:

The Diski dance was created for the upcoming World Cup and is composed of five soccer-themed moves. Learn more at http://southafrica.net/dance and you could win a trip to the World Cup this summer!
