Google Sea-View

I like Turtles!

… So you can imagine how chuffed I was to discover this:

It turns out there is even more. Not only have they taken their 3D Google cams underwater but they are also running hangouts from the watery depths:

Their next under water web chat is taken place tonight (yes… night). You can keep abreast of all the upcoming action here.

Shapeways

As much as I’ve heard people bang on about 3D printing, nothing has quite hit home like this inspirational video from Shapeways.

What is the future of creativity, manufacturing, and design? How is the Shapeways community and 3D printing enabling everyone to make their ideas real?

This film portrays how the Shapeways 3D printing community and marketplace is enabling everyone to be a creator. All you need is an idea and an Internet connection.

Technologicool

Glue Isobar have introduced me to two wonderful things this morning. The first is a mobile development which enables users to experience physical buttons on a flat touchscreen.

Tactus have created a tactile touchscreen that works by pumping fluid into a specially designed flexible surface, turning the once flat on screen buttons into, well…  bumpy real buttons.

Tactus Technology

The next technological breakthrough comes in the form of a dead cat. Meet Orville, after being fatally hit by a car, Dutch artist and owner Bart Jansen decided his to immortalise his beloved pet by turning him into a helicopter.
Check it out, this engine really purrs… or at least it used to.

A great start to the week, thank you @glueIsobar.

Timesheets to the Wind

JWT Brazil have turned mundane into fundane (sorry) by incentivising the filling in of timesheets WITH BEER!

It seems that the entire agency has to have completed their timesheets for the fridge to open, but would you want to be the one man (ow woman) that stands between an entire agency and their beer?

Either way… I love it. Can’t wait to install one in my office. Not sure I’ll bother with the locking mechanism though.

A day of videos

Yesterday was a day full of shared video content. I wanted to mark some of my favourites.

Will be updating soon just wanted to get it out there.

His name James Bond

I will never understand this… it was uploaded last October yet six people I know sent it round yesterday. Maybe they found some money for seeding.

The Man from Del Monte says NO!

There were so many more… I’ll update soon (promise)

Twitter Job Hustle

I know I’ve been away for a long time but the festi-fortnight really takes it out of you. Glastonbury followed by wireless and a bit of Jamie Oliver’s Feastival sprinkled into the mix just for good measure.

I sort of wish after all these, what I can truly appreciate as being, bleak times… I could do better than this, but:

Two creative-wannabe’s have blindsided creative directors via Twitter. Using a similar technique to the Facebook Alphabet, these clever fella’s created profiles with letters to place messages directly on CD’s most recent followers. Here’s a vid:

Brief: Land a job at an awesome agency.
