Reoccurring News

I seem to reference this video at least once a month, yet it takes me nearly that long to find it. So I’m posting this for reference purposes only… And it’s pretty cool.

This is a perfect example of forward thinking.

NEWS

And may I never have to crawl through interwebs to find this again!

Embodying Cityscapes

Whilst trawling through tumblr yesterday, I noticed a post from Laughing Squid that made me stop and reflect. It was a series of photos from British photographer Jasper James. This particular project focused on city skylines that were partially visible through silhouettes. I think it is a very clever idea with some extremely beautiful executions.

Here are some of my faves…

WIDENECK YO-SELF!

I have finally released my latest and greatest Tumblr blog to date.

          WIDEST NECKS

At the end of last year the NFL put together a list of the widest necks in the game.

Here our some of our sporting heroes:

But this year I’m creating my very own wideneck community (with a little help from Apple’s PhotoBooth and my friends).

Using a little mirror affect and a jaunty angled neck…

Here’s some I made earlier

So what are you waiting for?
Check out some of the other colossal necks on the blog and even add your own.

Good luck!

(Tilt) Shifted Perspective

I recall a few days ago seeing photos of someone painting a giant coin. I was in a bit of a rush so didn’t have a chance to look into or work out what the hell he was doing. It was only today that sculptor and artist Skrekkogle’s creation of a giant coin came into perspective:

And then he took his giant creation to the streets, combined it with a little tilt shift photography and voila:

It’s absolutely mind blowingly cool work.

He says if you want to try it yourself you can, just visit his online shop where you can purchase a giant coin and then take to the streets to start creating your own trick shots. Unfortunately he’s already sold out, mainly because he only created the one coin.

His other stand out project was to recreate the classic Microsoft Solitaire as a 3D sculpture.

PHOTOSHOPLOOTERS

As many of you may know, there has been a little unrest in the streets of London over the past few days. Our beautiful city now resembles that of sci-fi horror flick, the dystopian future has become our now. Yet out of the flames comes one tumblr blog that is striving to put a positive spin on such a horrendous thing…

The classic fan throw/castanet move

"You're going down for a long time."

Good luck all.

Dickheadometer

To promote the retro/Shoreditch cool pixelating iPhone app, ‘Pixel Face’, Grimaceworks created this lovely little webgame, based on the hipsters hit ‘being a dickhead is cool’.
Answer the kwestions in this kwl kwz to find out exactly how bigger tw@ you are with the ‘Dickheadometer’:

Yeah? What of it??? Being a dickhead is cool!

What surprised me was that it seems to be built solely to promote an app, without any branding (cue gasp).
…unless the app was built to promote the production company. Whoa dude, I think I’m tweaking.

Stay tuned for Font Face… coming soon.
